The Beauty O’ Autumn
Maple leaves have lost the green
and turned into
ton sur ton
in various shades..
Apple fruits are so tired to keep hanging themselves on branches
they let go freely
scatter on the ground
wait for the leaves dropping down
forming a blanket to cover them during the coming winter snow.
Neither butterflies circle around in the yard
nor dragonflies land on dying lily-pads on the pond
birds no longer sing or chirp inside colourful canopies
some hungry crows fly around
cawing for food
During the day
when the sun shines
it’s still warm to go outside without a jacket
but not too cold for the fireplace
it’s cozy to tuck oneself up in bed, under a light blanket.
Autumn is season of joy
the falling leaves for romaine
and the temperature is neither too cold nor too hot
joyful for sex.
If you don’t need either of them
you could still enjoy a nice morning walk
on any path or trail
to enjoy a royal welcome
on a colourful carpet of autumn leaves.
